We are so excited to welcome you to Kingston. To make your journey to university as smooth as possible, these webpages will guide you through the steps you need to take in the lead-up to starting your course and answer any questions you have about what to expect from enrolment and Welcome and Induction Week.

We will update this page with new information over the coming months, so make sure you bookmark this page and check back regularly. We can't wait for you to join us!

Key dates

For most courses* the dates to put in your diary are:

  • Enrolment: From Thursday 30 November, you will be invited to complete enrolment. Enrolment for January 2024 is now open. Please check your email.
  • Welcome Week: Monday 15 January to Friday 19 January
  • Students should be prepared to attend welcome activities from Monday 15 January 2024. Please note, the start of welcome timetables may vary, but to avoid missing anything we advise that you plan to be on campus from Monday 15 January 2024.
  • Teaching starts: Monday 22 January

*Courses with different Welcome week dates

Welcome Week dates for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and MSc Occupational and Business Psychology are different. Your faculty will be in touch with more details.

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA): Welcome week activities will run between 8 – 12 January.
  • MSc Occupational and Business Psychology: Welcome week activities will run between 8 – 20 January.

What to do before you arrive

Your pre-arrival checklist

Knowing what you need to do before you arrive at university, and when you need to do it, can feel confusing. Depending on whether you are a Home or International postgraduate student, the things you need to do before you arrive are different. You can find these different tasks below.

To ensure you're ready to start Kingston feeling prepared, follow the appropriate pre-arrival checklist.

I am a Home postgraduate student

What to do before you arrive, if you are a Home postgraduate student:

  1. Accept your offer: Make sure you have accepted your offer and sent us any conditional offer requirements
  2. Familiarise yourself with your Welcome and Induction
  3. Ensure you have your funding in place
  4. Confirm your accommodation options
  5. Prepare for enrolment
  6. Check out the digital tools you'll be using
