To accompany the reintroduction of on-campus face-to-face events, we've designed plenty of exciting online events to prepare you for life at Kingston. During these webinars we'll deliver presentations on a variety of topics and have friendly and helpful staff members, as well as current students, on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Pre-applicant webinars

Our pre-applicant webinars are intended for students interested in applying to study with us and usually take place between November and January. These events give you the perfect opportunity to find out all you need to know before you apply.

Applicant webinars

If you've already applied to Kingston, you will be invited to a different series of webinars, where we'll cover topics specifically relating to our applicants. You'll receive an email from us with an invitation to attend these exclusive webinars. To give you a taste of what's on offer, here's a handful of topics we'll cover:

  • Finance and funding: How and when to apply for your student loan to make sure it arrives in time.
  • Accommodation: Take a video tour of our different accommodation options and we'll talk you through the booking process.
  • Opportunities for students: We'll showcase the extra-curricular opportunities available to you at Kingston.
  • Earning money whilst at university: How to fit work around your studies and opportunities available.
  • Life at Kingston: We'll cover a broad range of topics to get you prepared for life at Ji8腦瞳厙, from student societies to employment opportunities and support with mental health/disabilities.
  • Speak to our current students: Our current students will tell you a little about their personal experiences as a student and what you have to look forward to.
  • Head Start: Get the lowdown on our free Head Start programme and how it will prepare you for life as an undergraduate student.

If you haven't made a start on writing your UCAS personal statement yet, or need some guidance, this webinar is for you. We'll talk you through how to structure the statement, give you top tips on what universities are looking for as well as dos and don'ts. If you've got questions about funding your postgraduate studies, we'll answer them in this webinar. We'll cover the eligibility criteria, application process, tips on budgeting and information about scholarships and bursaries. This webinar took place on Thursday 14 December 2023.

Life at Kingston

There's so much to tell you about life at Kingston University so we've put together a jam-packed webinar to do just that. In the webinar we covered the many exciting student societies you can join, our free Language Scheme, employment opportunities, studying abroad, our Head Start and Big Read programmes as well as the support we offer including mental health and disabilities.
