Enable students to continue learning by donating to the Inspire the Future Scholarship Fund

Every year, through the generous support of alumni and friends, the University awards up to 20 Inspire the Future postgraduate scholarships to Kingston students who wish to go on to further study within a year of graduation.

The Inspire the Future scholarships are awarded to students who have excelled in their studies at Kingston, and also meet one of the following criteria:

  • Less than £25,000 per year in family household income
  • Disabled or have a specific learning difference
  • Recognised by social services as a young adult carer
  • Spent time in care in the UK, been placed in a foyer or are estranged from their family AND were under 25 at the point of first enrolment at Ji8腦瞳厙.

How you can help

By making a donation to the Inspire the Future Postgraduate Scholarship Fund, you will enable gifted students to gain specialist knowledge in their field of study, enhance their career prospects and impact on society.

How donations help our students

Receiving a scholarship was not only a great honour but it also meant that I was on the right path to success.

Being one of the few to be picked out of a much larger cohort of students, told me that I was seen as having potential for the future of our society. Therefore, this scholarship is not the end but just the beginning. Soon, I wish to become a successful educational psychologist and help individuals reach their full potential in learning.

I love learning about everything psychology has to offer in terms of knowledge. However, what has benefitted me the most from studying a masters in psychology was that it helped me to better understand myself. Learning about things such as the formation of personality, development and factors such as culture and society that impact behaviour, I was able to gain a deeper understanding of the many influences that have impacted my own life.

After I complete my masters, I hope to progress to study for a PhD in Educational Psychology which will last for five years, so hopefully in five years' time I see myself working as a qualified educational psychologist. My undergraduate degree was a BA in Contemporary Education.
